This company has already launched 4G services in Chandigarh and now it will soon going to explore two methods for the 4G rollout:
- Revenue sharing model
- Capex model
The company will easily allow to rollout its 4G services without facing any hurdles in license because it has 20MHz liberalized spectrum in 2,500MHz band.
There will be no additional expenditure on towers as BSNL will be installing 4G base tower stations in the existing GSM sites – told by a senior official in BSNL.

It is appearing that after considering all the facts it appears that launch of 4G services in 2,500MHz band will going to be feasible and commercially remunerative.
The company has to finalise a timeline for the launch yet. In Chandigarh during the launch the company demonstrated a speed of 35 Mbps in January.
Soon BSNL is going to be the latest and fast entertainer in the world of 4G and it has already seen in action with the top mobile operators including Bharti Airtel.
BSNL will not incur much expenditure as this model is best suited and also much of the investment will not be required be borne by the vendor. Billing will be done by BSNL itself.
As this model involves both procurement and integration cost so, the final call on the rollout will be explore by the company soon.
