Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II and PowerShot SX720 Cameras Launched: Canon has just launched the PowerShot G7X Mark 2 and the PowerShot SX720 which are the cameras present in the advanced compacts series. The PowerShot G7X Mark 2 is priced at 699 dollars and the PowerShot SX720 is priced at 379 dollars. That is Rs. 48000 and Rs. 26000 respectively in Indian currency.
The PowerShot G7X Mark 2 will be available at the stores from the month of May and the PowerShot SX720 will be available from June.
Here are the specifications of the two advanced cameras. Canon never disappoints us. Both the cameras come in full HD resolution.
The Canon PowerShot G7X Mark 2 Camera
It has a 20.1 mega pixels zoom. The CMOS sensor is one inch which is similar to the previous model of the series. It is credited with the brand new DIGIC 7 image processor. The lens is of 24 to 100 mm lens and at the wide end; the aperture is f/1.8. On the other hand, at the telephoto end, the aperture is f/2.8. That makes the optical zoom quality go up to 4.2 x.
The ISO range is between 125 and 12800. But that is expandable to ISO 25600. The camera supports RAW mode and is compatible with WI fi and NFC. The LCD display is of three inch and shoots at 8 fps in the continuous drive mode.
The Canon PowerShot SX720 Camera
This device supports the ultra-zoom mode and has an optical zoom of 40x. The focal length is 24 to 960 mm. At the wide end and the telephoto end, the aperture is f/3.3 and f/6.9 respectively. The camera is of 20.3 mega pixels and the BSI sensor is of 1 to 2.3 inch. It has the DIGIC 6 image processor.
The LCD screen is three inches. The screen supports touch sensing. It supports WI fi as well as NFC. The burst rate is 5.9 fps when shot in continuous drive mode.
