The amplification unit powering Fiio A1 is a Texas instruments TPA6130A2, which will drive the headphone with the impedance ratings between 16Ohms and 100Ohms. The Frequency response ranges between 10-90,00Hz and the device is claims to have a total harmonic distortion of less than the 0.05 %. Its battery is of 160mAh and it can ran for about 12-13 hours of full charge.

PERFORMANCE

We used Fiio A1 with our reference to Fiio X1 a high resolution audio player, an Android smartphone and a Windows laptop. We used Trinity Atlas and Evidson AudioSport W6 headphones for the review.

Now let us start with the Trinity Atlas and the State of the Art, we found that the A1 manages a serious amount of amplification for this small device. The listed of 3.65dB gain can be felt really. And the volume was maxed on both the devices and the A1 became too loud for the normal listening.
