One such Indian wedding was shot by a photographer on an Iphone. Yes, the photographer didn’t use any of the professional, high quality DSLRs to shoot the wedding; instead, he used his Iphone 6s Plus to film the entire nuptial.

Sephi Bergerson, an Israeli professional photographer, has been shooting Indian weddings for almost seven years and this time he took up a challenge and decided to shoot his friend’s wedding on his Iphone 6s Plus. This has always been a dream of the photographer to film a wedding on an Iphone instead of a DSLR. He said on his photography blog, “It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to shoot an entire Indian wedding only on the iPhone.” He even mentioned that the only obstacle which prevented him from achieving his dream was to find a brave couple who would allow him to take this chance.

Sephi’s problem got solved when his friends, Ayushi and Abhishek, who just got married in Udaipur three days ago, challenged him to shoot as well as edit the entire wedding using only his Iphone. Sephi eagerly accepted the challenge and has produced outstanding results for all to see.

According to him this was the biggest wedding he had ever photographed. The wedding had taken place in Udaipur, Rajasthan and Sephi said that even though he had shot many weddings in this place before, but he had never seen it decorated as beautifully as it was on the day of his friend’s wedding.

Sephi Bergerson says that the camera features of Iphone 6s Plus is incredible. Its resolution and camera rendition is superb but the only drawback with iPhone’s camera is that is cannot be used in low light.

“…but low light photography was difficult, on the dance floor for example, as the ISO limit was not letting me shoot without having motion blur.”

Bergerson even edited the pictures on his iPhone using apps like Snapseed, Facetune and Instagram to add filters and to re-touch the faces. According to him, smartphones are better than DSLRs because they allow you to maintain eye contact while shooting and you can even get close to the photography subject.

The smartphone companies are constantly trying to prove that their cameras are as good as the DSLRs by pointing out their optical image stabilization, megapixel, multiple lens arrays and sensor size.  But Sephi Bergerson believes that the smartphone cameras offer different options than the traditional camera lens. He said “The iPhone offers a completely new breed of camera,”

In his time, Sephi Bergerson had published a book called ‘Behind the Indian Veil: A Journey through Weddings in India’ and after having lived in India for 14 years he settled in Goa.
