This statement of the NetMarketShare has come almost after four years of its rival metrics firm StatCounter said that Google Chrome was the most popular and used web browser in the world.

The statement of NetMarketShare’s means that the long reign of the Microsoft Internet Explorer has officially came to an end.

According to the market tracker, Mozilla’s Firefox browser with 9.7 percent of market share was at the third.

According to NetMarketShare, when it came to using the browser software to access the internet from the mobile devices, Chrome commanded slightly more than 49 percent of the market.
