LeEco is a Chinese company whose debut phones the Le Max and Le 1S are very interesting in the Indian market. DESIGN: talking about the design, Le 1S sports an all metal exterior. But what makes it stand out from the rival phones is the floating glass design and aircraft grade aluminium. The look may not be very original but at a price of Rs. 10,999 an all-metal unibody is kind of a novelty. It further has subtle curves and round edges along the sides. The dimension if the phone is 151.1 x 74.2 x 7.6mm and it weighs 169grams. Alongside a USB Type-C port Le 1S consist of speakers at the bottom.
Whereas talking about Lenovo’s K4 note, it has metal just restricted to the sides and the rest of the body is plastic. It offers a better grip with a curved polycarbonate back cover and for sturdiness it sports a metal frame. The k4 note has a removable back cover and front facing speakers which makes it stand out from its rivals. Dimensions of k4 note is 153.6 x 76.5 x 9.15-3.8 mm and it weighs 150grams.
DISPLAY: both K4 note and Le 1S has a display of 5.5-inch with full HD resolution. Both the phones supports multi-touch with pixel density of 401 PPI. Where Le 1S has Floating Glass 2.0 display and a peak brightness of 500nits and K4 Note offers 178-degree viewing angles with 441ppi. But Lenovo’s K4 note screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Difference in this category is very mere and almost unrecognisable.
CAMERA: Le 1S sports an ISOCELL 5P Lens rear camera of 13-megapixel with Blue Glass IR filter, 0.09 second ultra-fast focus speed, PDAF, LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The front facing camera of the phone is of 5 megapixel and with f/2.0 aperture lens it has a wide-angle lens to cover more area while taking selfie. It supports video recording with 2160p.
Lenovo on the other hand has a back camera of 13-megapixel along with PDAF along with dual-colour LED flash. The camera further features the following – Face detection, Geo tagging, Panorama, Touch to focus. K4 note also has a front facing camera of 5 megapixel and supports video recording with 1080p @ 30fps
PROCESSOR, RAM, SOFTWARE & UI: K4 Note is powered by a Mediatek HelioP10 SoC with 64-bit octa-core processor and Mali-T860 GPU. It has a RAM of 3 GB and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI on top.
Le1S is powered by 2.2 GHz, 64-bit Octa Core MediaTek Helio X10 Processor and PowerVR G6200 GPU. It has a RAM of 3GB. It runs on Android, v5.1 Lollipop. Le 1s features eUi.
BATTERY AND STORAGE: Lenovo K4 note 3300 mAh, Non-Removable Li-Po Battery which last 22 hours on 3G talk time. It has an inbuilt storage of 16GB which is further expandable via MicroSD card upto 128 GB.
Le 1s has a 3,000mAh Non-Removable Li-Po battery. It is the first smartphone ever to offer USB Type-C port for fast data transfer and quick charging. Its fast charging technology gives a talk time of 3.5 hours with just 5 minutes of charge. Le 1S has a fixed storage of 32GB and cannot support any expandable memory.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY: LeEco’s Le 1S is priced at Rs. 10,999 and for its first flash sale on 2 February it will be exclusively available in India on Flipkart.
Lenovo’s K4 Note is priced at Rs. 11,999 and is exclusively available via Amazon India in flash sale model.
However which phone is better, it can only be judged by a real-world comparison of the two phones. But going by the specifications we can say that all of them are on the same rank.
