He states the importance and highlight the importance of  social media , Patnaik told the  government officials  and functions at multi levels, he stressed  to establish the  contact with the people directly  he pinpoint to its government officials.

The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik told all the departments to upgrade their websites regularly and make them attractive on daily basis, he said, adding that a high-level committee will soon be formed and a consulting agency engaged for the purpose to take of the Social Media comments and tweets.

The Information Technology department   will work as the nodal agency and the Information and Public Relations department will be the content manager for the purpose..

This comes just days after the announcement that the Bihar police will be leveraging WhatsApp and other forms of social media in order to communicate more efficiently and effective nitration with the people directly without any further delay in obeying its order…

Top officials from SHOs to DGPs in Bihar are being provided with Android Smartphone’s for better and more efficient communication.

According to a spokesperson, 1,390 smart phones were procured by the Bihar police at a cost of Rs. 2.08 crore, in order to replace walkie talkies and personal cell phones.

Once the smart phones are distributed, all the officers will have to download WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter on the departmental phones so that they can communicate with colleagues and take orders from seniors instantly easily and at rapid pace.

These initiatives should help officials in states such as Bihar and Odisha to react more quickly and effectively to a wide variety of situations to handle the cybercrime activities in orderly manner.
