Apple iPhone SE comes with 12-megapixel of camera, priced at $500: Apple is expected to launch Apple’s iPhone SE in its first public event of the year which is likely to take place on 21st March. It is a 4-inch iPhone dubbed phone and it will be Apple’s first four-inch smartphone after 2013. It will fit A9 and M9 processors from iPhone 6s. It will sport the same design pattern as the iPhone 5s but it will feature more curved edges and bigger battery. It is not said to support 3D Touch functionality. But it will support Live Photos, Apple Pay and Touch ID. The rear camera of the phone will be 12-megapixel just similar to the iPhone 6s .Previously it was rumoured to be 8 megapixel. Colours available for the phone will be Space Gray, Rose Gold and silver combination. The price of the phone is roughly between Rs. 27,500 and 34,500.

“KGI Securities expects total 4-inch iPhone shipments to grow 131% year-over-year to 37 million units in 2016,” reported MacRumors.
The company reported that it has seen a boost in Apple’s iPhone both in terms of revenue and sales in India. In India it went upto 76 % as said by Apple itself in the Q1 of 2016. Tim Cook the CEO of Apple has plans to invest in India for long term. The main objective to keep the price under Rs.35000 range is to boost sales because price plays an important role in driving up sales in India. Currently the price of Apple’s iPhone 6 series ranges to Rs 50,000 and above. With iPhone 6s the price range now is between Rs 62,000 and goes up to Rs 92,000.

So this new phone will be categorised as a “Cheap” iPhone if the price is Rs 35,000. For more information we have to wait for the event where Apple will launch the phone.
