Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and S7 Edge+ may launch at an upcoming event: There is a very good news for all the Samsung lovers as they will be getting an option of three phones which Samsung is going to launch in the upcoming months, if rumours are to be believed. It will be releasing three series of Galaxy S7 smartphone phones simultaneously.
Evan Blass who is the tech writer and famed leaker tweeted with a picture which shows all the three official side by side. Logos on 12th January, 2016,” Honestly surprised by this (though it does explain a lot). pic.twitter.com/B7fL41qShm.” (@evleaks). Tere was no further comment from Blass’ side on this matter.
Among the three phones one will be a normal Samsung Galaxy S7 and two extended versions of S7 that is S7 Edge and S7 Edge+. Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were the previous two phones of Samsung. The highlight of this series is the look of the phone which is a slick-looking curved screen and further added a features to the side of the phone.
The phones may launch at the upcoming event the 2016 Mobile World Congress which will take place in Barcelona. And this could be the reason behind not announcing any smartphones at the CES 2016. All the three smartphones are expected to launch at the same time.
The display of Samsung 7 is 5.1 inches, with a resolution of QHD 1440×2560 pixels, it will feature Iris scanner as well and Galaxy Edge will be larger than this that is 5.5 inches with a resolution of QHD 1440×2560 pixels. Whereas the Galaxy S7 Edge+ will be larger than the other two with a display of 5.7-inch screen. The other features of the phones are all same hardware. The phones are coupled with 4 GB RAM and either Snpdragon 820 processor and Exynos 8 octa-core (Exynos 8890). There will be two options for storage: 1. 32 GB with expandable memory of 200GB via microSD card. 2. 64GB with the same expandable memory. The phones will sport a camera of 12 mega pixel with f/1.7 aperture.
The design of the phones will resemble its predecessor and may use some new features as well like next-gen USB type. It may also feature a sensitive screen which will be similar to the 3D Touch display of Apple. The outer display of Galaxy S7 will be flat but both Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge+ will come in a dual-edged curved display.
The MWC which will take place from February 22-25 can be the event for launching all the three variants as Samsung has previously launched its Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S6 at the same event. If this is the case then the products may hit the markets in March or April. But launching all the three phones together may be a drawback for Samsung as there may not be enough consumer demand in the market. So what do you think will this strategy of Samsung will work?
