The world’s largest social networking site has announced that its own developers have built the multilingual composer. The tool will enable the users to compose the single post that will appear in the multiple languages and the users will see the post in their preferred language.

The Facebook team wrote in a blog post, that people use Facebook to share the information and ideas in many different languages.

In fact, around 50% of our community speaks language other than English and most of the people do not speak each other’s languages. So, they are always thinking about the ways that can help to remove the language as a barrier to connecting on Facebook.

A user test has started. So, anyone in the test group can easily enable the multilingual composer by going to the Language section of their Facebook Account Settings. The composer of the Facebook noted that now it is only available for the desktop but others can view the multilingual posts across all the platforms.

According to the Facebook, while the site was busy in beginning to test the service with the individual users, they began testing it with the pages earlier this year.

The feature that is called as ‘multilingual composer’ will allow you to write a post in one language and then you can choose the additional languages in which you would like it to be published on our Facebook wall. For example, if you write a post in English but publish it in Spanish language then any one of your followers or friends who use Facebook in Spanish would see that Spanish translation of your post.
