Few Things you didn’t know you can do on your Android phone: – Guys, don’t be satisfied with what you have on Android. You can change, pull, push, tweak and rip apart almost anything to your heart’s content. As because of some limitations of the other OS, these are hacks that will only work on Andorid.
1. Have multiple accounts on one device:
Many of us have moved on from having a just one social media account or email to multiples. Many of you will also have multiple phone numbers with multiple WhatsApp accounts. But all of these you can not have on one same device- unless you use the virtualistaion that is. Parallel Space that is based on the MultiDroid i.e. a virtualization engine will let you keep multiple accounts on the same device. To start with, you should have all the apps that you want to use like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook and so on that are already installed on the device. Once you have installed the Parallel Space, you can select that which ones you want to run in virtual space of this app. You may also protect this area with password so that only you can have the access to this virtual area. Then, with the parallel Space working, you can sign in to your alternate accounts, so it is that simple. But make sure that your phone should have at least 3GB of RAM to make this transition works smoothly.
2. Make messaging work for you:
You will always get a spam text, no matter how many times you have register for the Do Not Call registry or no matter how many services you try to unsubscribe from. True Messenger from the True Caller uses the company’s vast and global numbers of database and crowdsourcing plus list of known spammers to keep your inbox clean.
It will automatically filter out all the junk. And if you are bored with the plain old SMS app then try Chomp SMS. You just need to install and make it a default SMS inbox for your smartphone in return, you will get a password protected inbox, ,SMS scheduler, 100’s of free themes, automatic signatures, better group SMS features, lots of emojis, quick reply, unlimited customization for notification icons, vibrate patterns and better dual SIM messaging features.
3. Drop the screen size down:
Larger screens are all the rage on the Android devices, they can also be very useful too, but if you want to reach all the corners of the screen then you should check that if your device has a one-handed mode in the settings. This feature will bring the size of screen down to more manageable size so that you do not have to adjust your grip to reach all the four corners. If your phone do not have this feature in built then you can add it in if you are prepared to root your phone. Once your device is rooted up, then you can head to the Play Store and can get an app called as the Niwatori, to enable one-hand use this will add the Xposed module to your phone.
It stays on the top of the existing Android interface. All you have to do is to just slide out the Lazy Swipe from the screen’s left or right from bottom corner.
It has 3 main sections: Toolbox, Recents and Favorites.
4. Make animation or switch them off:
This hack works on almost any Android phone and you do not need to have any rooted phone. Head towards settings > about phone and tap continuously on the Build Number. Then, after 7 or 8 taps you will get the little pop-up informing you that the developer options have been enabled. Then go back on the Settings and you will see the developer options.
Head here and scroll down until you see the settings for Window and the Transition Animation scale. The default values are 1 x or the normal speed. You can also reduce this to 0.5x. Then, head back to the home screen and give your device a whirl for a few minutes. You can also turn the animation off completely, if you like what you have seen. This can make an bloated or older phone feel faster than before.
