Truecaller can now identify unknown numbers from Whatsapp, Viber
Expanding to messages, in messaging apps the Truecaller app will identify unknown numbers. The company is claiming that the app will recognize the unknown numbers in WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram and Line apps. This is not the default turned-on feature. This ability i.e. to identify the unknown numbers in the Messaging apps can be easily turned on in Settings menu > General > Messaging apps.
When it is once enabled, the users will be notified about identity of unknown numbers that just messaged them. Users will also have notified about the identity in case any unknown makes the voice call over the app. In both the of course the unknown numbers has to save in the Truecaller database. One could say that the feature is similar to the Truemessenger app but it works across the messaging apps and it is not limited to the SMSes.
This feature is only exclusive to the Android users and the iPhone users should just be happy that the live Caller ID has been introduced recently with caveats.
