Vivo XPlay 5 takes the crown of being the first phone in the world to pack with 6GB of Ram: There is a huge battle going on among all the phone manufacturers. There was a time when there was just a handful of smartphone manufacturers and now almost every week new manufacturers arises with greatest and latest feature. Nowadays manufacturing technologies and logistics have really improved so there is an intense competition to produce reasonably good devices. In order to stay in the competition, companies are trying out several tactics to make their devices stand out from the rest, such as making the body of the phone with exotic materials, good software, long lasting battery capacity and ‘DSLR-level’ photography.
Now whenever a new phone launches one thing the ads focuses on is the photography part. Some companies claim that their phone’s camera is even better than a DSLR pointing on the high megapixel count. There are other features too which can be taken into account to justify a good phone, isn’t it? Let us talk about Vivo, another Chinese OEM who is all set to launch world’s first smartphone with 6GB of RAM. Before this rumours claimed that Huawei P9 will be the world’s first smartphone to pack 6GB RAM, but it hasn’t been introduced yet. So we guess Vivo will only take the crown and the smartphone’s name is the Xplay 5 and it will be unveiled on March 1, the company confirmed. Until then let us inform you about the device a little:
The new Vivo Xplay 5 will powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 6 GB of RAM. This shows that the phone has a really powerful hardware configuration. The display of the phone will support Quad HD resolution and will sport a dual- edge display. Although not much is known about the other specifications of the device. As per rumours the phone comes with a rear camera of 16-megapixel and the front facing camera is of 8-megapixel.
The battery capacity of the phone is 4,300 mAh. Apart from all these various questions arises regarding this phone having RAM more than the computer. Why would people need a phone with 6 GB of RAM? To answer this question we can take an example of the recent development of phone screens resolutions which is getting higher and higher. From phones with a display of 5.5 inch of display had a resolution of 720x1280p to phones like Sony Xperia Z5 Premium today which has a 4K screen. That time it seemed to be ludicrous but now it all makes sense. So when it comes to RAM this same situation is applied. A day will come when 6 GB Ram will become common. But it becoming necessary in phones can be possible if the phone itself powers larger computing experience.
