WhatsApp for Android and iOS comes with document sharing features
The new updates will help you share Medias in a better way. You can now share the locally stored data with any one you feel like and even in groups. New kinds of sharing options are available for the users which you will acquainted with when you install the updates. But, there happens to be a tiny twist. If you send locally stored Medias or use the new sharing features, in order to receive them even your friend whom you are sending should have the app updated.
For instance, in the Android version when you click on the Attach button then in the drop down list you will find a new addition called “document” along with the video sharing option. When you click the button, you get a list of all the documents which are stored locally. You can select any one that you want and then send it.
In the iOS version, when you click on the upload button then you have an option of sending documents. So to share you need to click on the “Share document” option. You can share documents from other application like other third party apps, especially the ones which are online. This is a bit similar to the upgraded feature of the photos and videos options that we found in the previous updates.
There are feedbacks which suggests that the feature is only updating pdf files. This update will be improved further and will take a tad bit of time in order to implement in all the smart phones globally. The update is an effective one.
