WhatsApp in Over 109 Countries and with 70 Million Users in India: All over the world the Instant messaging app i.e. WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app and it is used in 109 countries or around 55.6 percent of the world, stated by a new report on Wednesday.WhatsApp in Over 109 Countries and with 70 Million Users in India

The countries include India, Mexico, Russia, Brazil and many others countries in Africa, Asia, Oceania, South America and Europe.

Currently, it has over one million monthly active users and in India, over 70 million people are constantly using the messaging service app.

A Britain based information technology company has examined of the 187 countries that SimilarWeb, it was the world leader claiming around 109 countries.

In second overall than comes the Facebook’s Messenger app and claiming 49 countries including Canada, the US and Australia. Then after Facebook Messenger, only Viber was the other messaging app to claim 10 or more countries.

In the Eastern Europe Viber has the strong popularity and it is the top app in Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus among others and Viber was installed on 65 percent of all the Android devices in Ukraine as of April 2016.

WeChat, Telegram and Viber are the three other messaging apps that are claiming multiple countries with Iran, Japan and China that are representing countries using one of these apps.

The report also said that at least one country in the world i.e. Indonesia still used by the masses the BlackBerry’s BBM.

In the country, as of April 2016, the app was installed on 87.5 percent of the Android devices, far surpassing any other country in terms of the BBM use, according to report.

In the US only 0.42 percent of the Androids had the BBM app, with Britain and Australia showing slightly the higher use.
