Xiaomi Mipad 2 Review and First Impression: Xiaomi, the Chinese Smartphone manufacturers launched its brand new tablet MiPad 2 which is successor of previously launched tablet known as MiPad. Xiaomi unveiled MiPad 2 at an event in Beijing. This tablet is slightly thicker than apple iPad mini 4 but it is available for a more affordable price. It is one of the most premium-feeling, solid build tablet which cost less than $200.

The 8 inch metal build tablet carries a WOW factor in every feature available to this device. If you want to have a premium- feeling tablet under $200 you should consider this device.
Designing: The tablet will resemble people of Ipad mini with software similar to Ipad’s software. The device has full metal backing and full glass front just like Ipad mini but the device is slightly thicker than iPad. In front the front camera is in the top of the centre and the rear camera is up in the corner at the back. The power key and volume buttons are at the top of the right hand edge of the tablet. The USB port is at the bottom edge of the device and the headphone jack is on the top edge. Speaker grills are at the bottom of the tablet. Display: Xiaomi MiPad 2 comes with a 7.9 inch IPS display with 1536 x 2018 resolution. The pixel per inch density is 326 which is excellent. The display offers nice colour saturations, adequate brightness and great viewing angles. Xiaomi has provided the option to change the saturation and the colour temperature level of the display. There is also a reading mode available which will add slightly yellow tint to the display to make it look easier in dark.
Hardware: The MiPad 2 houses Intel processor, the Atom X5-Z8500 that runs at 2.25 GHz. It comes with 2GB RAM and has Intel graphics GPU. In terms of storage capacity right now two devices are available one with 16 Gb storage and another with 64 Gb storage. That means you can store as much song, videos, files, picture you want. On the connectivity side Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are the main options available. The tablet has other typical sensors but the major exclusion is there is no GPS sensor available in this device. The tablet has full metal body measuring 200mm x 133mm x 6.95mm and weighing only 322 grams. The device feels nice at hand. The tablet has 8 megapixel camera at back which takes great quality of photographs with a great details. Xiaomi MiPad has a 5 megapixel front camera for selfie lovers which also capturers good quality images. Right now the tablet is available in dark grey, and champagne gold colour. Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3’s is going to launch on 3 March 2016.
The device comes with 6190 mAh battery. Battery backup of this tablet is quite good. The tablet manages to keep the display on for quite a long time. It gives over five hours of screen on time. The battery supports fast charging technology. With help of this technology you will be able to charge your MiPad faster.
Performance: With the 64 bit Intel processor and 2 GB Ram the An Tutu benchmark is over 70K. The MiPad 2 runs on Xiaomi’s version of android operating system, known as MIUI 7. The operating system looks similar to IPad mini’s. Navigation through Os is smooth and animations are really fast. But if you start using processor heavy applications the tablet fells sluggish. In terms of gaming its gives abysmal gaming experience. The device is really good for day to day users but if you are gamer or use processor heavy apps you will not be happy with the experience.
